KTM Recalls 7,000 Off-Road Bikes for Fuel Line Faults
KTM issued a recall for around 7,000 bikes sold in North America, off-road models manufactured in 2012 and 2013. The issue generating such a massive recall is represented by some fuel line manufacturing defects which could lead to a gas spill, and thus become extremely hazardous.

KTM reports that no incident has been signaled at the time of writing and the fault belong to the part supplier. Please note that only the EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) off-road models (bike list after the jump) are affected, with the issue not present in the motocross series.

The affected motorcycles will be taken care of in authorized shops and the operation is very simple, as the molded faulty fuel line will be replaced by a new one. The whole process should not take longer than 30 minutes, KTM adds, will be free of charge and guaranteed.

If you're not sure about your bike, you can either enter the 17-digit chassis number on your bike's tag or delivery certificate/ registration slip on, or you can simply check with your closest dealer. [AutoEvolution]
