Dave Rogers Replacing Departing Scott Graves as Crew Chief for Daniel Suarez

Scott Graves is leaving Joe Gibbs Racing effective immediately the organization announced on Tuesday. Graves has been the crew chief for the organization since 2017. He's been the crew chief for Daniel Suarez in the Cup Series since Martinsville in 2017. Suarez's 10th place finish on Sunday was Graves 100th start as a crew chief in the Cup Series.

Graves will be replaced by veteran crew chief Dave Rogers beginning Sunday at the Talladega Superspeedway. Rogers has been the Technical Director for Joe Gibbs Racing's XFINITY Series operations this season but has served as crew chief once at Iowa with Kyle Benjamin. Rogers has been with Joe Gibbs Racing his entire career making his debut in 2005 with Jason Leffler in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series.

Rogers has 271 starts as a crew chief in the Cup Series with 18 victories, 85 top fives, 134 top 10's, and 20 poles. He served as crew chief for Suarez in his first five Cup Series races in 2017. He has the best finish of seventh twice with Suarez in California and Phoenix. (Koelle,2018)
